What color flowers do you send someone who is in mourning?

My friend's grandfather recently died, and I wanted to give her something to let her know that I cared. Anyone wanna help?

Pink - Friendship

Red - Romantic love

Orange - physical energy

Purple - Spirituality

Yellow - Happiness

Blue- healing

If good friend go soft pinks loads of greens.

Yellow will brighten her up and is the colour of sunshine - best for cheer but depends where you are in world for flowers lasting?



Personally I would buy her something that she can keep - when you lose someone you love it is sad to have the plants die it was sad for me - maybe an indoor plant to nurture ( peace lilly) or heart shaped indoor ones ( see garden centre) or personal keepsake? Words mean the most, goodluck and she is lucky to have you for asking!

I would avoid anything bold, such as red or purple...while I think yellows, whites or pinks would be appropriate.

Reply:There is no 'perfect' flower. If this is someone you care for a great deal, buy their favorite flower. I don't know how much you can afford, not that, that should be an issue, but I have, for two very dear friends who lost a parent, given them their favorite flower both times. I also make sure they have 'enough' to share with those who want memory flowers.



On the other hand, just being with your friend will be enough to know you care for her.
