Why hasnt my boyfrind sent me flowers yet?

i have been with my boyfriend for a year and i always hint to him that i want him to buy me flowers but he hasnt yet .why?

Reply:From a guys perspective, FLOWERS are stupid and I don't understand why women want them. Perhaps he thinks the same way. For the amount of money he can spend on something that will eventually die, he could buy you something that won't... My girl likes flowers, I don't know why, they always die. It's really gonna be on him to suck it up and buy some, if he hasn't caught your hits by now, I don't think he's gonna buy them.
Reply:He's probably extremely clueless to your hints, or you haven't been hinting hard enough. Try coming out and saying, "I was talking to so n' so today, you know what her boyfriend did? He surprised her with flowers for no reason! Isn't that just SWEEEEET of him? It's sooo romantic.." or something along those lines.
Reply:If it is love, which I believe most people want in a relationship, you're looking at it in the wrong way. Love is a verb, it is an action, and a selfless action at that. The more you expect him to do, the less he is gonna want to do any of it. Been there done that, it is a very uneasy feeling knowing that you don't measure up as a person, because the other part of the relationship thinks that I need to buy her flowers in order for her to feel loved??? Are you kidding. Don't get me wrong, I am all about random romantic acts, but I am sure he senses that you expect it, which leaves him not wanting to do it.

1) That he isn't good at taking hints, or


2) He is good at taking hints and just doesn't want to buy you flowers, or


3) He is broke, or


4) He doesn't think you deserve flowers.

Reply:well, just by your name, i get the feeling that HIGH MAINTENANCE would be something. Beyond that, lets look at some more obvious reasons, and mind you , we are all guessing.





1. Money. flowers aren't cheap and, believe it or not, if you buy the wrong ones, you are dead. Understand you want flowers, but, you are asking a MAN to make a WOMANLY decision. Not easy nor effective





2. Doesn't want to. For whatever reason. The more you hint, the more he might *and I'm leaning to will* stay away from it. every think he doesn't want you to get the wrong idea? he might view flowers as a deeper commitment to you.





3. Something on the side. Every think he might have another girl on the side? This one may be out there, but, if the money ain't goin to you, it be going somewhere.





I am going to disagree w/alot of people here. if you send yourself some flowers and try the secret admirer thing, you better think of possible consequences. It could backfire on you really bad. Depends on how you feel about him
Reply:because he is an insensitive jerk.. here's an idea, send YOURSELF some flowers and have NO CARD or a computer printed card from the shop that says, just because... or you're beautiful... he'll trip out!

Reply:I think I've received flowers about 2 or 3 times in the last 4 years. I really don't think it's something that should required; it should be something special that you're surprised by, not something you expect.

Reply:guys think getting flowers are dumb so they think giving flowers are dumb too, he probably doesn't even get your hints. Guys also think being mushy like that makes them seem wimpy (i know- stupid). I suggest flat out telling him- if you gave me flowers I would really really love it
Reply:same for me.. my bf didn't even buy me a birthday gift!! I let him off the hook though because he got me earrings for valentine's day, and because we had just started dating.





But flowers? He's never surprised me with.. :(





maybe he's just inexperienced or not really good with girls yet? i dunno, i am my bf's 1st girlfriend so i think he's still getting the hang of things..





Anyway, it kinda defeats the purpose if you have to ASK him to buy u flowers lol.. not much you can do here just hint and wait it out..

Reply:Sorry to hear that! Some guys are not romantic. I use to send my wife flowers all the time. It was funny because alot of her co-workers would get mad. And when they got home, they would ask they're husbands or boyfiends why they never are given flowers? Guys! Buy you girl flowers and you will have nice thank you that night!

Reply:some guys are the flower buying type. My dad buys my mom flowers once every few years. I have a boyfriend who brings flowers all the time, and i know for a fact its his personality...i dont even ask for them. If it really bothers you, just ask him why.
Reply:You probably need to tell him flat out that you want him to send you flowers. Although he probably won't send them anyway. Why do you need him though. Send some to yourself.

why dont u buy yourself some flowersnd get excited and say ' oo--secret admirer. i always wanted flowers!" maybe he'd get the hint then.
