What kinds of flowers should I send?

I have a relative who recently found out she had breast cancer. She went into surgery the other day and I was wondering what types of flowers would be appropriate for this situation.
What kinds of flowers should I send?
Well, first of all, most florists will have a selection of arrangements for all occasions like birthday, anniversary, sympathy, get well, et cetera. If you're unsure, the florist can help you with an appropriate selection. However...it's Spring! There is a lovely selection of bright and beautiful flowers to choose from.

But, if I was giving the flowers -- I would want the flowers to either mean something to my relative or to mean something to me. Do you know her favorite flower, favorite scent, or favorite color? Ask around if you're unsure. Making it personal will be more memorable to her. Or, is there a certain flower that means something to you? A fragrance, color or flower that brings back a special memory of your relative? If so...go with that choice and write a little note to accompany your arrangement explaining your choice. Making it personal is a much better choice...when possible.

[Also, hurry and send them. If your relative has to receive chemotherapy treatments, there may come a (temporary) time when she will be unable to receive fresh flowers.]
Reply:A yellow lily is the brightest, most beautiful flower for this occasion. A bouquet of theses would make anyone smile.
Reply:i'd send a nice springy bouquet- tulips, daffodils, daisys, gerberas, some hythnic- lots of colors. happy and cheery
Reply:It doesn't matter. What the friend will remember is that you GOT flowers. The specific type...of absolutly no importance what-so-ever.
Reply:bright like the pick me up bouquet
Reply:Daiseys and babys breath
Reply:I'd send lilies or pink tulips-they're both super cute.
